Keyshawn Johnson Places a Bold Bet on Aaron Glenn and Aaron Rodgers

Amid rampant speculation about Aaron Rodgers’ plans for the 2025 season, Keyshawn Johnson is firmly convinced that they won’t include the New York Jets. Johnson made a bold promise on Thursday regarding what he would do if Rodgers rejoined the Jets this fall, stating, “If he does, then I’m walking from Calabasas at 4 a.m. in the morning, to the studio, with nothing on but boxers.”

The FS1 show Speak analyzed the new Jets head coach Aaron Glenn’s future with the team. Glenn, a former Jets star, steps into a challenging situation that includes a 5-12 record from the previous season and numerous uncertainties. Among these is Rodgers, who is coming off the worst statistical season of his career and will turn 42 next season. The four-time MVP has expressed he is unsure of his return for another NFL season, adding further confusion on whether he will play for the Jets.

Johnson believes Glenn is an ideal fit for the Jets, but doubts he will want to work with Rodgers. “The Jets situation is phenomenal. They’ve got players,” Johnson remarked. “What he can do is go into New York, set a different culture than what is there. I can guarantee 100,000 percent that coach is going to change overnight, because he’s not the typical quiet, not going to say anything. He’s going to challenge his players, just like he did as a defender.” He is adamant that Glenn will not kick off his career with Rodgers as his starting quarterback in September, proclaiming, “Now I said this first, nobody else is saying this.”

For those curious, Calabasas is approximately a 28-mile trek from the Fox Network Center in Century City, Los Angeles. Google Maps estimates a 10-hour walk, but considering Johnson’s fitness level, he might complete it more quickly. Nevertheless, the attention from passersby to a former NFL star walking through LA in his boxers would likely be quite a distraction.

Competing narratives have emerged about Glenn’s willingness to collaborate with Rodgers. Notably, Michael Kay reported that Glenn has expressed a desire to keep Aaron Rodgers, although his credibility in the realm of NFL news is often questioned.
