You never know what to expect from Paul Bissonnette on television, and that includes the chance of a repair bill. The NHL on TNT analyst has quickly become one of sports television’s most vibrant personalities, akin to his TNT counterpart Charles Barkley on Inside the NBA. The TNT hockey crew, much like their basketball colleagues, isn’t shy about having fun and indulging in physical comedy.
On Wednesday night’s show, Bissonnette attempted to showcase his skills by shooting on an empty net using a goalie’s stick. You might think this would be an easy task for an NHL player, but it proved anything but simple. Unfortunately for Biz—and the Warner Bros. Discovery finance and maintenance departments—his shot went high and wide, resulting in damage to the set background while his co-hosts laughed in amusement.

Though he wasn’t using a traditional hockey stick, this mishap reminded everyone why Bissonnette isn’t remembered for his shooting ability; he scored only seven goals in six NHL seasons, although he did accumulate an impressive 340 penalty minutes! Hopefully, the damaged panel won’t significantly impact his TNT paycheck. Comparatively, he still has a long way to go to catch up to the repair bills incurred from all the antics on Inside the NBA, including incidents like broken video boards.
