Bills Star Delivers Strong Message About Winning

Winning isn’t just everything; it’s the only thing. Buffalo Bills star Amari Cooper knows this mantra well. He starred at the University of Alabama, securing a National Championship in 2012, and while he has found success in the NFL, the ultimate prize has eluded him. Ahead of the Bills’ AFC Championship matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, Cooper expressed his feelings candidly.

Despite not being heavily involved in the offense lately—an indication being that superstar quarterback Josh Allen has only targeted him nine times in the last four games, with just one target in their Divisional Round victory over Baltimore—Cooper maintains a positive outlook. “I’m very satisfied,” Cooper admitted via Matt Parrino of syracuse.com. “I’ve never been this far in the playoffs. Obviously, every receiver wants to have 10, 20 catches a game, but that’s not always how the cookie crumbles. Winning is obviously way more important.”

Cooper noted that there are “many” ways to achieve victory, and the Bills have consistently demonstrated this by overcoming numerous challenges. Now, they face a significant test this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. This matchup marks the continuation of a rivalry that has intensified over the last five seasons, featuring several memorable contests in both the regular season and playoffs, hinting at yet another thrilling game.

Buffalo is in pursuit of that elusive Super Bowl title, striving to break free from their four failed attempts in the 1990s. On the other hand, the Chiefs are chasing greatness as they aim to be the first NFL team to achieve a three-peat, a feat that hasn’t been accomplished in North American sports since the New York Yankees (1998-2000).

We’ll see if Cooper and the Bills can rise to the occasion and secure their coveted victory.
