As the New Orleans Saints seek a new head coach following the dismissal of Dennis Allen, Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore appears to be standing out among the candidates. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, both Moore and Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady have advanced to the second round of interviews with the Saints.
“The #Saints have a busy end to this week and beginning of next week, sources say, as they hope to add to their interview list by speaking a second time, in-person, with Joe Brady and Kellen Moore,” Rapoport shared in a post on X. “Add those to Mike McCarthy, Anthony Weaver, and Mike Kafka. And maybe more.”
Moore began his NFL coaching career with the Dallas Cowboys, where he served as offensive coordinator from 2019 to 2022. After his tenure with the Cowboys, he took charge of the Los Angeles Chargers’ offense for the 2023 season before joining the Eagles.
While the Saints are still weighing multiple candidates for their head coaching vacancy, Moore’s progression to a second interview indicates that he is a strong contender in the selection process. It will be interesting to see how their coaching search unfolds and whether Moore ultimately secures the position.
