Evaluate the Local NBA Announcers for the 2024-25 Season

As the NBA’s regular season approaches its conclusion, we invite your insights into the performance of local TV broadcast booths. This year saw numerous changes in where teams broadcast their local games and also adjustments in on-air teams. With much discussion surrounding national broadcasters and their ratings this season, it’s essential to take a closer look at the local broadcast landscape.

Continuing with our rankings—similar to our previous evaluations of local NBA announcers last year and the rankings for men’s college basketball, NFL, CFB, MLB, WNBA, NHL, and more)—the end of this post features a form for you to vote (also accessible here). The form lists NBA teams in alphabetical order, accompanied by their primary local TV play-by-play voices and analysts, along with substitute voices designated as “also” where applicable. You will rate each team’s broadcast setup from A to F, with A being the highest and F the lowest.

You can vote for any number of teams and use Control-F to quickly locate a specific team. Once you have assigned your grades, submit your responses. While you may include comments or explanations for your grades, this is not mandatory. Please note that all votes and comments are anonymous, and we do not collect email addresses.

The voting form is available below and here. The deadline for voting is 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on Monday, April 14. We will announce the rankings at Awful Announcing later next week.

Thanks for participating!
