NFL Community Reacts to Astonishing Bengals Update

The Cincinnati Bengals experienced one of the most frustrating seasons in the NFL. Despite a slow start, they managed to win their last five games; however, it was insufficient to counterbalance the poor beginning of the season. This was particularly disappointing as star quarterback Joe Burrow had an exceptional year, and the uncertainty looms over whether this was the final season for Burrow with his top wide receiver targets, Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase.

Amidst these concerns, the Bengals have secured one of Burrow’s other receiving options by re-signing tight end Cam Grandy. “We signed TE Cam Grandy to a one-year contract extension through the 2025 season,” announced the Bengals via their official Twitter account on Tuesday.

During the 2024 season, Grandy recorded five catches for 28 yards over eight games. Fans have shared mixed reactions regarding the news of his extension on social media. One fan stated, “Great pickup for cheap to help block with the tackles. Also caught some great throws this year.” In contrast, another commented, “Oh yeah great .. what about Tee Higgins and Jamarr!!! Get that done .. and Hock.” Some fans remained skeptical, mentioning their unfamiliarity with Grandy, while others raised concerns about his performance, noting, “yes let’s keep the guy who had 4 false starts in one game, yes let’s resign this tight end before Gisecki!!”

As off-season developments unfold, it will be intriguing to see if there are any agreements reached regarding Higgins and/or Chase.
