The Hallmark Channel is making a move into football-themed movies. One year after the success of Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, the network is back with a new release this holiday season: A Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story. This film will be shot entirely in the Greater Buffalo area, including at Highmark Stadium, as reported by The Buffalo News.
Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin announced the film on social media shortly after its announcement on NBC’s Today. In his post, he expressed excitement about the collaboration: “We have big news today. Hallmark Channel and the NFL have selected the Buffalo Bills for the 2025 ‘Countdown to Christmas’ movie draft. We’re thrilled to honor our team, our fans, and give a shoutout to Bills Mafia.”

Unfortunately, as reported by Sports Business Journal, Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who is set to marry actress Hailee Steinfeld, will not participate in the film. The movie is being produced in collaboration with the NFL and Skydance Sports. Bills COO Pete Guelli stated, “We were honored to be approached by Skydance Sports to participate in this amazing project that will showcase two powerful brands – Hallmark and the Buffalo Bills.” While this is an exciting venture for Bills fans, especially those who enjoy Hallmark films during the holiday season, it might be bittersweet knowing it’s a sequel to the Kansas City Chiefs’ story. Bills Mafia will have to hope that this sequel proves to be even better than the original.
