Knicks’ Josh Hart Sends Prayers for Tracy Morgan’s Recovery

Tracy Morgan fell ill during Monday night’s New York Knicks game, needing a wheelchair to be escorted out, which raised concerns among fans and players. Early in the second half of the Knicks’ matchup with the Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden, a nearly 10-minute delay occurred when Morgan began vomiting from his courtside seat. Play resumed after Morgan was wheeled off the court, appearing to deal with a nosebleed as well. After the game, Knicks forward Josh Hart expressed his concern for Morgan’s well-being.

Hart reiterated, “First and foremost, obviously we hope everything’s good with Tracy Morgan. Avid, lifetime Knick fan so prayers go out to him and his health and safety.” This incident was particularly alarming considering Morgan’s history of health issues, including diabetes and a kidney transplant in 2010. Additionally, in 2014, he was placed in a medically-induced coma for two weeks after a serious car accident involving a Walmart truck in New Jersey.

However, on Tuesday morning, the actor and comedian provided an update via Instagram from a hospital bed, reassuring fans that he was “doing ok” and revealing his illness stemmed from food poisoning.

“Thank you for all your concern! I’m doing ok now and doctors say it was food poisoning,” Morgan wrote. “I appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!” While Morgan did not disclose what or where he ate that led to the food poisoning, it’s reassuring to hear that he was already on the mend by Tuesday morning.
