Hannah Storm’s ‘SportsCenter’ Outfit Sparks Notable Reactions

On Sunday, much of the discussion on ESPN programming naturally revolved around the two NFL Divisional Round matchups. However, ahead of the highly anticipated games, SportsCenter anchor Hannah Storm turned heads with her unique wardrobe while hosting from the site of Monday Night’s National Championship game between Ohio State and Notre Dame. Throughout the show, she was joined by various ESPN personalities, including reporters and insiders like Adam Schefter.

Throughout the entirety of SportsCenter, Storm sported a puffy black coat and a black hat reminiscent of railroad conductor attire. Naturally, her outfit garnered numerous comparisons from viewers on social media, with suggestions ranging from the character Vito from the hit drama The Sopranos to a member of the disco group The Village People. NFL Media producer Chris Law humorously tweeted, “Village People Hannah Storm is my favorite Hannah Storm.”

Ryan Ermanni of Fox 2 in Detroit added, “Sopranos (Vito) there is no other answer,” while Michael Grant from Awful Announcing remarked, “Hannah Storm looks like she auditioning to be background performer in an old-school Janet Jackson music video.”

To be fair to Storm, the weather in Atlanta was unexpectedly cold, with a high of just 46 degrees on Sunday, making the coat and hat a practical choice. However, the ensemble drew significant attention, albeit perhaps not the attention Storm anticipated.
