Oregon hopes Canady can bolster a talented secondary in Eugene next season, addressing needs as they prepare to lose several veterans to graduation. This addition is undoubtedly beneficial for the team.

They followed that success with a historic 13-0 season, winning the Big Ten Championship in their first year in the conference by defeating Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State—an unprecedented accomplishment in a single regular season. However, Oregon’s season concluded abruptly at the start of 2025 when Ohio State avenged a prior defeat by overpowering the Ducks in the Rose Bowl, leading the Buckeyes to win the National Championship in the inaugural year of the 12-team College Football Playoff.
