Before the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am began, CBS Golf’s Trevor Immelman and Jim Nantz enjoyed a round at one of the world’s finest courses, Cypress Point. One of Immelman’s standout shots of the day was captured and narrated by Nantz, who began the video with a view of Monterey Bay, prepping for an upcoming ad during Sunday’s broadcast.
“Tonight on CBS begins with 60 Minutes followed by the Grammy’s, live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+,” Nantz announced, before shifting the camera to Immelman preparing for his tee shot on the par-three 15th hole. “Back here at 15, Trevor Immelman, who’s three-under for the day, leads McIlroy by one.” This lead was expected to extend as Immelman’s tee shot looked promising.
“Oh, this is pure, Dottie,” Nantz remarked to Dottie Pepper (though we cannot confirm her identity). “It looks like it’s right at it if it’s not long. Oh, my goodness. It’s right next to the hole. It almost goes in! Again, he leads McIlroy and Adam Scott—who just made a birdie—also one back. Let’s head over to 18.” Immelman later shared the video on X with the caption, “Bucket list round yesterday at Cypress Point….just amazing. My man Nantz with the commentary.”
