It’s another Kansas City Chiefs game, and once again the officiating takes center stage, much to the dismay of SiriusXM host Adam Schein. NFL officiating has become an unfortunate storyline during yet another Super Bowl run for the Chiefs, with calls consistently breaking in favor of the two-time defending champions. Even insiders like Adam Schefter have been drawn into the controversy by suggesting that changes are needed due to the mysterious calls favoring the Chiefs.
As the Chiefs continue winning close games thanks to critical fourth down plays, blocked field goals, and controversial calls, conspiracy theorists are gaining traction. This narrative was evident again on Sunday during the AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills, where replay reviews favored Kansas City. A pivotal fourth down play in the fourth quarter proved controversial; despite widespread belief that Josh Allen secured a first down, officials ruled otherwise, allowing the Chiefs to secure the win.
“If you’re a Buffalo fan…the referees on two particular plays doomed your Football team.” @AdamSchein says the officiating in the Bills / Chiefs game was a complete disgrace.

Schein expressed his outrage on his Monday radio show, labeling the officiating a “damn disgrace” that negatively impacted the Bills. He recounted how “the referees on two particular plays doomed your football team.” He pointed out specific moments, particularly how Josh Allen appeared to achieve a first down on a quarterback sneak, noting, “Half of his damn body is over the line of scrimmage.” Furthermore, he criticized a previous play’s ball spot, calling it terrible, and insisted that the officiating did not reflect objective reality.
As his rant continued, Schein referenced the perspective of commentators Gene Steratore and Jim Nantz, highlighting their reluctant agreement on the call being incorrect. He stated, “First ref comes in, first down. Second ref comes in, hold on, Taylor Swift gets to go to the Super Bowl. Let’s take a breath. Gene, who does not want to criticize the officials but always says exactly what he sees, of course it’s a first down. It wasn’t even close! Jim Nantz, who doesn’t want to rip the officials, it’s a first down!”
This raises the question: Is there a conspiracy aiding Taylor Swift’s favored team in their quest for a third Super Bowl victory, or do they simply have one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time? Despite having numerous opportunities to win, the Bills ultimately fell short due to their own shortcomings, like stopping Mahomes or converting on crucial plays. Yet, that won’t deter Adam Schein and others from calling foul whenever Kansas City benefits from a call—an outcry likely to persist until either the Chiefs lose or an official physically sacks Patrick Mahomes.
