WWE and Omaha Unveil ‘WWE: Unreal’ Docuseries for Netflix

For years, the writer’s room at WWE was a topic of intrigue, discussed but rarely seen. This summer, a Netflix docuseries will pull back the curtain on this facet of the pro wrestling world. WWE announced WWE: Unreal during Night 2 of WrestleMania 41, accompanied by a teaser for the 10-episode series.

According to a WWE press release: “For the first time ever, step into the WWE writer’s room and outside the ring with your favorite WWE Superstars, where the drama is just as intense offstage as it is under the spotlight.” Produced by WWE, Omaha Productions, NFL Films, and Skydance Sports, the project boasts notable executive producers including WWE executive producer Lee Fitting, Omaha co-founder and president Jamie Horowitz, and Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning.

“WWE: Unreal” promises to delve deeper than just the writer’s room, featuring creative discussions with talent and insights from creative team reactions while in the Gorilla Position during WWE shows. It looks to provide an intriguing glimpse for those interested in the backstage dynamics at WWE.
