Charlie Dixon Asserts Innocence in Julie Stewart-Binks Case

Fox Sports executive Charlie Dixon has responded to the lawsuit filed by former Fox Sports host Julie Stewart-Binks, who alleges that Dixon assaulted her in his hotel room during a meeting in 2016. Dixon, currently on administrative leave due to lawsuits from Stewart-Binks and former Fox Sports hairstylist Noushin Faraji—which both claim he committed sexual battery—denies any wrongdoing regarding the allegations made by Stewart-Binks.

In a response submitted to the Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, Dixon claims there was “no sexual or offensive contact or intentional contact with [Stewart-Binks]” during their meeting in January 2016. In her original lawsuit, Stewart-Binks alleges that Dixon pushed her against a wall, pinned her arms, and forcibly kissed her while discussing an upcoming Super Bowl assignment in his hotel room. According to the filing, “With her arms forcefully held down and his body pressed against hers, Dixon tried to force his tongue into her mouth.” When she did not comply, he allegedly continued to press against her body and lick her closed mouth while manipulating her arms. After she managed to escape, Stewart-Binks claims her career suffered as Fox Sports subsequently did not renew her contract.

Following the emergence of Stewart-Binks’ lawsuit, Fox told Front Office Sports, “These allegations are from over eight years ago. At the time, we promptly hired a third-party firm to investigate and addressed the matter based on their findings.” To date, no official hearings have taken place regarding either misconduct case against Fox Sports. An initial status conference for the Faraji case is set for later this month, while a case management conference for the Stewart-Binks case is scheduled for late July.
