WWE Edits Out Controversial Promo Between Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton

What was intended to be a simple promo leading into their WrestleMania 41 match quickly turned into an unsanctioned moment for WWE. During the April 4 SmackDown at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton threw the script out the window. According to @WrestleVotes on X (formerly Twitter), the two “said very little of what was in the rundown for them” and went “off script quite a bit.” Instead of sticking to the planned dialogue, they exchanged personal barbs that crossed a proverbial line, leading WWE to delete the clip from its official X account shortly after.

The heated exchange escalated quickly, with Stratton taking a shot at Flair’s multiple divorces. Flair retaliated by claiming that Stratton’s boyfriend, fellow wrestler Ludwig Kaiser, had been sliding into her DMs.

To ensure that viewers didn’t catch the more controversial, unscripted moments, WWE edited their YouTube version of the segment.

While WWE can attempt to scrub the clip, the moment has already made waves. What was meant to be a straightforward promo transformed into a memorable exchange that fans are unlikely to forget anytime soon, revealing that WWE was caught off guard by how far it escalated. It will be fascinating to see how WWE manages the fallout; despite the unscripted nature of the exchange, fans evidently craved more, and WWE cannot overlook that, even if things got a bit too personal.
