Since drafting former Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson, the Baltimore Ravens have consistently been in playoff contention but have yet to reach the Super Bowl. Last season, they fell short of even the AFC Championship, losing to the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round. During an interview at the league meetings this week in Tampa Bay, Florida, Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti shared his vision for the franchise’s future. “I want to win now,” Bisciotti stated when asked about the team’s trajectory over the next 30 years, according to the team’s official website. He emphasized, “I want to win with these guys.”
Recognizing Jackson as a generational talent, Bisciotti is determined not to let this opportunity slip away. “We’ve got a window with Lamar,” he expressed. “I know what we can do. I know that we worked to put ourselves in position to win. We all get credit for that. That’s all you can do. I hate it that every year, you just have to start back over again. But you know what? This is not for the meek.” Bisciotti is eager for immediate success, making no secret of his ambitions. “I don’t like waiting 12 years, yet I’m respectful of the fact that I’ve got partners (owners) downstairs that still don’t have one. Impatience is good for you. I think it’s healthy to a degree because you know all of us still feel it.”
