Throughout its history on ESPN, Around the Horn has celebrated Halloween and April Fools’ Day with great enthusiasm. As the show prepares to conclude this May, ATH cleverly merged both festivities into a single episode, using April 1 as the perfect opportunity to don costumes and even featuring iconic panelist Sarah Spain channeling her inner Woody Paige.
Spain joined Israel Gutierrez’s Transfer Portal, Frank Isola’s Minutes Police, and David Dennis Jr.’s Amir “Aura” Khan, the star of the first round of the NCAA tournament last month.
“Let us be the first to say Happy Halloween 2025, a day we’re not getting, so you’re getting it right now,” host Tony Reali announced at the show’s start.

This episode also marked the return of Gutierrez, one of the longest-serving panelists in ATH history, whose presence on ESPN has decreased in recent years. Halloween has become a cherished tradition on ATH; for instance, in 2024, Jorge Sedano “won” the Halloween episode with an impressive Chris “Mad Dog” Russo impression that he maintained throughout the 30-minute debate.
Earlier this year, ESPN announced that Around the Horn would air its final episode on May 23, concluding over two decades of evening broadcasts. As the show approaches its finale, viewers can expect more exciting stunts like this to celebrate its legacy and the many legendary panelists.
