Thankfully, Charles Barkley doesn’t closely follow NBA games; otherwise, he would be seeing a lot more of Blake Griffin next season when Griffin joins Amazon Prime Video as an analyst. Barkley is fed up with Griffin, and it’s easy to understand why, especially with Griffin’s “Guarantee Guys” AT&T commercial dominating March Madness, perhaps even overshadowing Duke’s Cooper Flagg.
During Thursday night’s CBS broadcast, Ernie Johnson teased Griffin’s ad before a commercial break at halftime of Duke’s 100-93 Sweet 16 win over Arizona. “But first, time for Blake (Griffin)…” Johnson said. To which Barkley responded with a heavy sigh, “Oh, god. Man, I’m so sick of Blake.” Johnson chuckled and advised, “Be nice to Blake. Take it away, Blake.” #MarchMadness pic.twitter.com/TCblVjLkdS

Barkley’s frustration isn’t just about the repetitiveness of this ad. The two exchanged playful jabs during last year’s “The Match,” culminating in Griffin’s hilarious impression of the Basketball Hall-of-Famer. Nevertheless, Griffin will be appearing more frequently due to the NBA’s new deal with Amazon next season. Just don’t expect Barkley to catch much of it since he claims he doesn’t watch the NBA.
