George McCaskey isn’t a fan of Joe Buck, and Kylie Kelce would probably tell the Chicago Bears chairman to get in line. Recently, McCaskey trolled Buck after being asked about Tom Brady during the NFL on Fox’s playoff coverage, stating he didn’t care. However, he admitted that when Buck appears on his TV, he tends to turn down the sound. Should his Bears not make the Super Bowl, McCaskey will need to endure a Buck-Troy Aikman broadcast.
If you’re curious how Buck feels about McCaskey’s comments regarding the namesake of Bears founder George Halas, you’ll find your answer in his media rounds before calling his first Major League Baseball game since moving from Fox to ESPN. During his appearance on Chicago’s 670 The Score, Buck said, “You know what he doesn’t know? Is that my grandfather played for his grandfather.” But he’s not losing sleep over it or the criticism he receives. “It’s all good. I was OK. I did not cry myself to sleep. I took it as a badge of honor,” the voice of ESPN’s Monday Night Football quipped, adding that “he and 30% of the other viewers” feel similarly. “That he came up with my name makes me happy.”

Buck isn’t sweating McCaskey’s jab; he has larger matters to attend to, including a new MLB role — for Opening Day — and the usual 30% of viewers who aren’t fans. McCaskey muting him? That’s simply part of the job.
