The NFL draft is approaching, kicking off the excitement for training camp, the preseason, and ultimately, Week One. With that in mind, we’re already contemplating who the top players will be in the 2025 season. While quarterbacks typically capture the spotlight, the performance of a quarterback is heavily influenced by the quality of his receiving corps. Hence, we’ve compiled a list of the three best wide receivers heading into the next season, in no particular order.

Justin Jefferson stands out effortlessly against cornerbacks, presenting a nightmare for opposing defenses. His contributions were crucial to quarterback Sam Darnold’s success with the Minnesota Vikings last season, facilitating a lucrative contract during the offseason. Jefferson also plays a vital role as the Vikings transition to young quarterback J.J. McCarthy—wherever the ball goes near him, there’s a strong likelihood he’ll secure it, potentially leading to a touchdown.

CeeDee Lamb, the Dallas Cowboys’ prime weapon, is a force to be reckoned with; having secured a significant extension before last season, he proved invaluable even when franchise quarterback Dak Prescott was sidelined. Lamb’s remarkable skill enabled him to make Prescott’s replacements look impressive, leaving fans questioning if Prescott should remain the starter. Despite dealing with a shoulder injury last season, Lamb excelled against defenses. If he stays healthy in 2025, he may very well claim the title of the best receiver in the league.

No list of top wide receivers would be complete without mentioning Ja’Marr Chase. The Cincinnati Bengals, known for their reluctance to spend big on their star players, made a significant exception for Chase, signing him to a four-year, $161 million contract—the highest ever for a non-quarterback in NFL history. This decision was undeniably justified as Chase achieved the rare triple crown in 2024, leading the league with 127 receptions, 1,708 receiving yards, and 17 touchdown catches. While this list is not ordered, the undeniable truth remains: until proven otherwise, Chase is the premier wide receiver in the league.
