Current NFL on Fox analyst Rob Gronkowski has garnered significant attention for his event-hosting endeavors during and after his playing career, including the Gronk Cruise and the popular Gronk Beach party. The latter, produced with event company Medium Rare, has previously occurred at high-profile events like the Super Bowl and the NFL Draft, and is now set to make its debut at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas this April as one of four “WrestleMania After Dark” late-night events that WWE has partnered with Medium Rare for during the weekend.
“Gronk Beach: WrestleMania After Dark Edition” will kick off on Sunday, April 20, at 10:30 p.m. local time at LIV Beach at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The event will feature performances from Flo Rida, Valentino Khan, and DJ IRIE, appearances by WWE Superstars Damian Priest and Tiffany Stratton, as well as branded experiences and offerings from NÜTRL, Bud Light, and Seagram’s Escapes Spiked. Tickets for this exciting night start at $79.99 and will be available for purchase on Friday at 1 p.m. ET through the WrestleMania After Dark site.
It’s intriguing to see Gronkowski extend this celebrated party, which has typically been tied to NFL events, to the realm of WrestleMania. He possesses a rich history with WWE, having made a notable cameo at WrestleMania 33, hosting WrestleMania 36 (held in 2020 at the WWE Performance Center without fans due to COVID-19 restrictions), and even winning the 24-7 title, which he held briefly before losing it to R-Truth in a humorous backyard skit. However, Gronkowski’s involvement in wrestling has been minimal lately, focusing primarily on his role with Fox, which is not currently a WWE broadcaster. At the very least, hosting this event in official partnership with WWE might hint at a renewed interest in wrestling for Gronkowski, especially with WrestleMania promising plenty of excitement, including John Cena’s headlining match against Cody Rhodes.
“As a former WWE 24/7 Champion and four-time Super Bowl Champ, I know a thing or two about how to celebrate big weekends! After three Big Game Weekend editions, we have taken everything you love about Gronk Beach and turned it up to 11 with an epic night swim experience, performances from my boys Flo Rida and Valentino Khan, and that signature Gronk energy. Vegas is the perfect destination for this kind of party, and I can’t wait to see everyone there capping off the biggest weekend of the year for wrestling fans!”
The Gronk Beach party has previously taken place in Vegas at the NFL Draft in 2022 and at Super Bowl LVIII in 2024. This year’s venue is different, as it will be hosted at Fontainebleau (the official hotel for WrestleMania weekend) instead of Encore Beach Club at the Wynn Las Vegas, where the previous editions took place. All WWE/Medium Rare WrestleMania After Dark events will occur at this venue, with the other three events scheduled at its LIV Nightclub.
The remaining events on the lineup include a WrestleMania 41 Welcome Dinner & Launch Party on Thursday, April 17, featuring WWE Superstars Bianca Belair, Rey Mysterio, and Charlotte Flair, along with performances by Valentino Khan and DJ IRIE; a WrestleMania After Dark: Hall of Fame Afterparty on Friday, April 18, featuring appearances from Bron Breakker and Liv Morgan alongside performances from Metro Boomin and DJ IRIE; and just WrestleMania After Dark on Saturday, April 19, showcasing appearances from Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso, and performances from Machine Gun Kelly (who previously collaborated with Medium Rare at Travis Kelce’s Kelce Jam in conjunction with the 2023 NFL Draft) and DJ IRIE. Tickets will start at $49.99 for the launch party and $79.99 for the other events, available for purchase Friday at 1 p.m. ET through the WrestleMania After Dark site, with combo passes starting at $199.99 and VIP tables also available.
It’s noteworthy that Medium Rare is bringing its events to WrestleMania, having gained a reputation for its Super Bowl parties in collaboration with Shaq, Sports Illustrated, Guy Fieri, and others, in addition to hosting NFL Draft events and occasions like Dave Portnoy’s One Bite Pizza Fest. Medium Rare’s operations follow a 50/50 ownership model with the celebrities and brands involved, maintaining a focus on offering accessible events centered around significant sports moments for fans who can’t attend VIP-only parties. Co-founder Joe Silberzweig remarked to Awful Announcing in February that they saw a gap in the market and aimed to bring engaging events to Super Bowl Weekend, avoiding typical corporate events where people merely gather in suit jackets to watch a concert.
Now, Medium Rare is stepping up with similar public-facing events during WrestleMania weekend, teaming up with WWE, its Superstars, and Gronkowski. It will be interesting to see if this weekend establishes another regular destination for them, especially with New Orleans already confirmed to host WrestleMania 42 in 2026.
