Being a WWE fan is one thing, but proving your fandom is another. Adam Rank, who describes himself as a “mark,” showcased his dedication on Tuesday by delivering a WWE-style promo aimed at one of wrestling’s biggest stars.
Rank’s passionate performance came during Seth Rollins’ three-episode guest-hosting stint on Good Morning Football on NFL Network. Just as the show was gearing up for the “Spike O Meter” segment, it was interrupted by a wig-clad Rank brandishing a WWE microphone, eager to flaunt his wrestling credentials.
He wasted no time emphasizing his wrestling background, recalling his attendance at Ring of Honor’s Bound By Hate pay-per-view in 2008, where a young Rollins — then known as Tyler Black — faced off against current AEW stars Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson in a thrilling three-way match. “If you thought we could go a week with Seth Rollins and not bring out the biggest mark in the building, a guy who watched Tyler Black wrestle Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson in ‘no hate’ in 2008, you were mistaken,” Rank proclaimed. Rollins seemed genuinely taken aback by the nod to his early career, but Rank was just getting started.
In a 90-second promo filled with nods to various stages of Rollins’ journey — from his debut with The Shield and his feud with CM Punk to his relationship with fellow WWE superstar “The Man” Becky Lynch — Rank’s energy was palpable. “I’ve been waiting my whole life for this,” he stated in his WWE-esque manner. “Ricky Morton once told me he was going to beat me up because I was rooting for the Road Warriors.”
“I’m fired up, man!” Rollins exclaimed in response, ready to take his turn on the “Spike O Meter.”
I popped @WWERollins and I haven’t stopped shaking. This was so much fun.

While some might have found a pro wrestler guest-hosting an NFL morning show awkward, Good Morning Football’s lighthearted approach has allowed for such creative experimentation. Rank’s promo may very well prompt WWE to rethink its plans for WrestleMania 41 to include him.
