During the initial stages of the NCAA Tournament, it appeared that ESPN’s Courtney Cronin might finish the first round with a flawless bracket. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Cronin’s bracket remained perfect through Thursday night and she had a strong start on Friday, prompting ESPN Radio to celebrate her success on X.
“Legendary run… @CourtneyRCronin ’s bracket is still PERFECT after 20 @MarchMadnessMBB games,” the post announced.

Her bracket achieved an impressive 22-for-22 before encountering its first loss. Cronin had predicted that No. 11 North Carolina would pull off an upset against No. 6 Ole Miss on Friday, but that was not meant to be for her or Tar Heel supporters.

Cronin handled the disappointment gracefully, stating, “That was so much fun,” as she reflected on her journey on X. “A 22-0 start ain’t too shabby, either.”

For those interested, Cronin’s Final Four consists of Florida, Michigan State, Duke, and Tennessee, with the Gators predicted to defeat the Blue Devils for the championship. Only time will reveal whether her bracket will withstand the tournament’s challenges.
