Los Angeles Lakers analyst Stu Lantz shared a genuine laugh at Giannis Antetokounmpo during Thursday night’s game, and it was truly refreshing. Although Bronny James shone as the star of the game, leading the Lakers in both points and assists while crossing up Antetokounmpo, it was the latter’s clear carry that drew the most attention amidst Milwaukee Bucks’ 118-89 victory over the Lakers.
In the third quarter, with Milwaukee up by 11, Antetokounmpo attempted to back down Lakers guard Jordan Goodwin. After knocking Goodwin down, he attempted to regain his dribble but clearly committed a violation by carrying the basketball. This moment caught the attention of many, including Lantz.
Common man 😂 Giannis got away with the NASTIEST carry I’ve ever seen in my life

LeBron James, Luka Dončić, and Austin Reaves instantly recognized the carry from the Lakers bench, urging the referees to make the call. Lantz chimed in during the broadcast, stating, “That’s illegal.” Unfortunately for them, the officials opted to overlook the violation. However, while it may not have been the correct decision on the court, it certainly provided entertainment value for the viewers. Following the moment, the announcers revisited the play, and Lantz couldn’t help but laugh, remarking, “If that’s not an illegal dribble, I don’t know what is.” This was all the analysis the audience needed to understand his feelings on the situation.
