Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever continue to be recognized as a major attraction in the WNBA, captivating the attention of the league’s broadcast partners. Following remarkable viewership numbers during Clark’s rookie season in 2024, 41 out of Indiana’s 44 games this year are set to be televised nationally. The Fever are even taking the lead in establishing a new primetime broadcast window on CBS, with two standout games scheduled for this summer.
As reported by the WNBA, Clark’s team will be showcased five times on ABC, five times on ESPN, eight times on ION, six times on Amazon Prime Video, and three times on CBS. The remaining 14 games will be broadcast on cable networks like CBS Sports Network and NBA TV. The new primetime CBS slot will feature Clark and the Fever facing off against rival Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky on Saturday, June 7, and Saturday, August 9. This increased focus from CBS comes after the network established a popular weekly Saturday midday slot in 2023 and 2024.

This fall and winter on Fox, women’s college basketball has proven to be a significant draw during prime timeslots, as evidenced by a matchup featuring Paige Buecker and JuJu Watkins, which garnered over 2 million average viewers with a lead-in from the NFL on Dec. 21. Although the baseline viewership for women’s basketball may not yet compare to that of other sports, the presence of big-name players in both college and the WNBA is leading networks to realize that star power translates to substantial viewership. Caitlin Clark undoubtedly exemplifies this phenomenon as the premier star in women’s basketball and one of the most recognized athletes across all American sports.
