Travis Kelce’s plans for the 2025 season are still unclear, yet his future is likely to involve Hollywood. During a press conference at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, Chiefs general manager Brett Veach shared that he expects Kelce to play another season, while head coach Andy Reid was more reserved, stating, “That’s up to Travis.” Veach noted, “How he left at the end of the season is that he was fired up… As far as I’m concerned, there is no deadline. I think we left it as he’ll be back…”

As the Chiefs consider Kelce’s decision, a film producer asserted that Kelce “100 percent” has a future in Hollywood. The veteran tight end and future Hall of Famer, who has several acting credits like his role in FX’s Grotesquerie, also served as the executive producer for the independent film My Dead Friend Zoe, which premieres this week. Fellow producer Paul Scanlan praised Kelce in an interview with People, emphasizing his impactful role in the film.
“He’s such a likable guy and he’s a good actor. I mean, he’s proven that he’s been in some good material. And he’s a good producer,” Scanlan said, adding, “He’s made a difference in our project. He’s really good at generating attention and getting attention on a worthy project. He’s a giving person, very Midwestern in that way, wanting to do purposeful projects. Having him involved has helped us achieve our mission, getting this film out to more people where it can truly make a difference.”
After last season, which was statistically his worst, Kelce has nothing left to prove in the NFL. Whispers suggested he’d lost a step, and he appeared visibly distraught after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIX loss. With the choice between returning for another season at age 36 and pursuing a promising future in Hollywood, the decision seems straightforward for many. However, the ultimate choice rests with Kelce.
