Marcellus Wiley Commends Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Dogecoin

Ex-ESPN and Fox Sports personality Marcellus Wiley is known for his candid opinions, even at the risk of facing criticism. Recently, on X, he responded to fellow ex-ESPNer Robert Griffin III’s question regarding President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and the Department of Government Efficiency’s significant cuts, showcasing his enthusiasm:

This expression of support drew considerable backlash from those opposing Trump, Musk, and the DOGE cuts. His stance, however, should not surprise anyone, as he had recently visited Trump at the White House and shared his experience on social media:

Since his departure from Fox in late 2022, Wiley has remained active in the sports media landscape, notably through his Hydration Situation podcast/video show. In this platform, he has taken aim at various figures, including Stephen A. Smith, Skip Bayless, and Drake and ESPN, among others. He’s also discussed the allegations against Fox’s Joy Taylor and the legal actions surrounding hairdresser Noushin Faraji’s lawsuit against the company. Additionally, Wiley has delved into politics, previously claiming he had evidence of Democrats “buying off” celebrities.

At present, it appears that Wiley’s media presence is primarily through his own projects, although he has vowed to reunite with former ESPN colleague Max Kellerman for a sports show by 2026. Whether he will stick to sports discussions or shift towards political commentary remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Wiley is set to continue voicing his opinions.
