Alex Rodriguez wears many hats, including baseball legend, MLB on Fox analyst, and now an NBA team owner. On Sunday, he took on the role of hero for a college student by helping them win $10,000. During halftime of Bucknell’s home game against Army, Rodriguez stepped onto the court to attempt a three-point shot from half court as part of a promotion. The 14-time MLB All-Star looked every bit the former NBA All-Star as he smoothly banked in the shot, leading to an enthusiastic celebration with the crowd and the lucky student.
Just a casual Sunday afternoon for Alex Rodriguez… here he is banking in a half court shot to win 10K for a Bucknell Student

Rodriguez spent the day on Bucknell’s campus with his business partner, entrepreneur Marc Lore. They spoke at a special forum before attending the game. Recently, Rodriguez and Lore succeeded in their lengthy quest to purchase majority ownership of the Minnesota Timberwolves. An arbitration panel ruled in their favor earlier this month, allowing them to procure the Timberwolves as well as the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx. So, counting Sunday’s half-court shot, that marks two significant wins for A-Rod this month.
