FS1’s Emmanuel Acho stirred controversy with a bold statement, drawing criticism from Philadelphia Eagles star Nolan Smith. On Friday’s episode of The Facility, Acho and his colleagues debated whether the Dallas Cowboys are closer to a Super Bowl or a rebuild. Acho declared, “The Cowboys are one Eagles off-season away from a Super Bowl.” That’s quite a provocative assertion, to which co-host LeSean McCoy sarcastically replied, “That sounds easy.” Acho countered, insisting, “No, it’s not easy.”
Continuing his argument, Acho specified, “They are a running back away. Eagles offseason, Saquon Barkley. They are a linebacker away. Eagles offseason, Zack Baun. They are one offensive lineman away, Eagles offseason, Mekhi Becton. The Cowboys are one Eagles offseason away from a Super Bowl. That’s it.”

Even loyal Cowboys fans may not share such high hopes for a team that finished 7-10 in 2024 and parted ways with head coach Mike McCarthy. Smith, freshly crowned as Super Bowl LIX champion with the Eagles, responded to Acho on Sunday, criticizing him with a sharp comment: “Bruh you got to be Top 2 [haters] and not two. It doesn’t cost nothing to show love and say ‘THEM BOYS DID THEIR THING!!!!!’”

Acho’s take may lack substantial backing, as the Eagles managed to sign Barkley, who had one of the most remarkable seasons for a running back in NFL history, while the Cowboys seem to have no comparable options for acquisition this offseason.
