Kardashian has now sworn off roasts entirely after the reception she received as she was loudly booed while delivering a toast to Brady as a surprise guest. Normally, a few boos wouldn’t trigger a post-production overhaul, but TMZ Sports reported that Netflix removed the loud boos from Kardashian’s segment, leading to speculation that she or her team were involved in the decision. However, Kardashian clarified that she had absolutely nothing to do with the edit, explaining she remained in the audience during the Netflix Is a Joke Fest in Inglewood, California, to prove a point despite needing to catch a flight.
“No, I could care less. Let me live my life. It happened. I don’t erase what happened. Listen, I’m the best sport, like — I can handle it,” she stated on a recent episode of The Kardashians via Today, adding that she wouldn’t be signing up for another roast anytime soon. “My thoughts on the roast? I would never do a roast again. It’s not good for the soul.”
Brady couldn’t win either. While The Roast of Tom Brady became Netflix’s most-watched comedy special of the first half of 2024, he wasn’t thrilled with how some of the jokes impacted his children. This is another reason why he’s not interested in doing another roast. Kardashian, on her end, didn’t want to sit there and “literally be the victim,” but soon realized that winning over the crowd was impossible. “I could have never imagined that I would be booed, but you can’t f*cking win,” she reflected. “So it’s like, ‘Oh, football fans, oh sports fans, oh, they hate the Kardashians!’”
