Fox Nation is venturing into sports content with a new docuseries titled The Tides That Bind: Inside Alabama Football. Announced in a press release from Fox News on Thursday, this multi-part series will focus on the players, coaches, and staff of the Alabama Crimson Tide during their inaugural season after the retirement of the legendary coach Nick Saban.
According to the release, “The series will spotlight the accounts of the team with unrestricted access to one of the most storied programs in college football history for the first time ever.” Spanning six episodes, the series will premiere on February 19, releasing one episode each week. Key figures such as Malachi Moore, Jalen Milroe, Ryan Williams, and head coach Kalen DeBoer will be prominently featured.
Fox Nation president Lauren Petterson expressed excitement about the project, stating, “We are thrilled to bring our viewers this intimate behind-the-scenes look at the historic Roll Tide football team as they navigate the trials and tribulations of a year in transition.” This docuseries marks a significant shift for Fox Nation, whose programming typically focuses on right-wing commentary and faith-based content. Notably, the first episode, titled Faith, will explore “the unifying force binding fans and players in pursuit of the shared goals of the Crimson Tide football team.” Unfortunately for Fox Nation, the 2024 season is one that Alabama fans might prefer to forget.
