Few individuals have covered the NBA as profoundly as Adrian Wojnarowski, who will now be officially honored as a Curt Gowdy Award winner. He has been announced as one of four recipients of the 2025 Curt Gowdy Awards, presented by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, having received the Curt Gowdy Insight Award.

Wojnarowski began his journey through newspapers like the Fresno Bee in California and The Record in New Jersey before joining Yahoo Sports in 2007, quickly becoming a leading NBA insider. After the 2016-17 NBA season, he transitioned from Yahoo Sports to ESPN, where he continued to solidify his reputation until September 2024, when he announced his retirement from ESPN and NBA news. Post-retirement, Wojnarowski returned to St. Bonaventure, his alma mater, to assume the role of general manager for the men’s basketball team.
The other three Gowdy Award recipients included longtime Bay Area reporter Michelle Smith (Print Media Award), former NBA player and CBS commentator Clark Kellogg (Electronic Award), and Detroit Pistons announcer George Blaha (Electronic Award). Additionally, Jeff Twiss, the VP of Media Services and Alumni Relations for the Boston Celtics, was honored with the John Bunn Lifetime Achievement Award.
