Tom Brady’s been there, done that — more than a few times. He may not be ready for Fox’s top broadcast booth just yet, but if there’s one thing he knows, it’s how to win a Super Bowl. He also knows what it’s like to lose one — and, on occasion, lose the jersey off his back. Over the years, multiple game-worn jerseys have vanished, including the infamous theft after Super Bowl LI and another missing from Super Bowl XLIX. So when he spoke to Jalen Hurts in the aftermath of Super Bowl LIX, he had some sage advice.
“What I want you to feel good about is, don’t let that jersey out of your sight,” Brady implored the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback. “I had a few of them stolen over the years, so keep track of that. It’s going to be memorable down the road.”

Hurts indicated that he wasn’t about to let that happen. But Brady wasn’t taking any chances, especially after an international media member once made off with not one but two Super Bowl jerseys. While Brady may still be finding his footing in the broadcast booth, he’s proven he doesn’t take himself too seriously. That’s not always the case for every announcer, but Brady has made a habit of leaning into self-deprecating humor — something he displayed during the Super Bowl LIX broadcast when he poked fun at his own, let’s say, friendly relationship with NFL referees. If nothing else, Brady knows how to laugh at himself — just as long as no one’s running off with his jersey again.
