Robert Kraft Celebrates Tom Brady in Anticipation of Super Bowl LIX

Ahead of his first Super Bowl as an announcer, everyone is weighing in on Tom Brady. The seven-time Super Bowl champion had an uneven inaugural season in broadcasting, with critics like Awful Announcing’s Ben Axelrod questioning his fit for the role. However, as we approach Super Bowl LIX, Brady seems to be at his best, and the challenge now is to get The Herd guest Brady into the broadcast booth.

Not everyone commenting on Brady’s performance will be tuning in, though. Figures like Al Michaels and Phil Simms have offered him advice, while close friends like New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft are boosting his morale. Whether Kraft has actually listened to Brady as an announcer remains uncertain; being in New Orleans for the game, he may not hear Brady unless he’s tuned into the NFL on Fox broadcast from his box at the Caesars Superdome.

Nevertheless, the 83-year-old Kraft chimed in. Duringa recent interview with Fox News Digital, he expressed his admiration for his former quarterback and personal friend, stating, “I think the way he has presented the nuances of the game, things that fans would never see, is truly special and unique, and Fox was brilliant to attract him.”

When appearing on The Herd, Brady exhibits much more confidence than in the broadcast booth or during roasts like the one Kraft attended, where he was notably protective of Kraft from jokes. As his broadcasting skills continue to be scrutinized, Kraft stands ready to defend him. With Super Bowl LIX approaching, Brady remains a work in progress as an announcer. While Fox was indeed wise to bring him on board, it will take more than Kraft’s praise to mold Brady into the broadcast star they envision.
