During the ceremony at Tulane University, Bradshaw expressed his love for the state, stating, “I love this state. I never wanted to leave it. But I ended up doing it because I had to travel so much. Love Louisiana, love New Orleans. First Super Bowl here 50 years ago. You go back and relive that. This is where it all started for me. This is where you build your reputation.” H/T Rob Masson, Fox 8
Before becoming a Hall of Fame quarterback with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Bradshaw showcased his talents at Louisiana Tech University, following a distinguished high school career at Woodlawn High School in Shreveport, where he was born. The ceremony at Tulane also allowed Bradshaw to reminisce about one of his greatest professional moments: in January 1975, he achieved his first of four Super Bowl victories when the Steelers defeated the Minnesota Vikings 16-6 in Super Bowl IX, the last of three Super Bowls held at Tulane Stadium.
