Donald Trump is back in the Oval Office and remains an ardent sports fan. Pro Football Talk reported that he will be attending the Super Bowl on Sunday, making him the first sitting President to ever attend this event. Not only is Trump a football enthusiast, but he also has a passion for golf, owning multiple courses and hitting the links when time allows. His love for the sport has led him to build relationships with many professional golfers, including Tiger Woods. Therefore, it wasn’t surprising when Trump sent Woods a message following a tragedy in the golfer’s family.
“I was just informed that Tiger Woods’ wonderful Mother, Kultida, passed away — She has gone onto greener fairways! Kultida Woods was an amazing influence on Tiger and gave him much of his strength and brilliance. Melania and I send our love and prayers to Tiger and his incredible family!” Trump said on his Truth Social website. Fans reacted to Trump’s words on social media, with mixed responses. One Twitter user commented, “This is more important to you than the plane crash,” while another added, “Rest in (peace) but quit using stuff like this to gain people’s support and political gain.” Despite the reactions, one individual expressed genuine sympathy, stating, “I’m very sorry to hear this, losing a mother is very heartbreaking.”
Hopefully, Woods and his family are given the time they need to grieve.
