On Sunday morning, the NBA landscape underwent a dramatic transformation due to a surprising trade between the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers that involved Luka Dončić and Anthony Davis. However, the significant moves didn’t stop there; just hours later, another major transaction captured the attention of sports media personalities.
Earlier this week, reports indicated that the Sacramento Kings were exploring trade offers for star point guard De’Aaron Fox. The most logical destination was the San Antonio Spurs, where Fox could become the future floor general alongside Victor Wembanyama. This scenario materialized on Sunday night, but the league’s dynamics were even more complex than anticipated.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, a three-team trade involving the Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls, and Spurs has been finalized. Fox and Jordan McLaughlin are headed to San Antonio, while Zach LaVine, Sidy Cissoko, and a total of six draft picks will be moving to Sacramento. Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls regain their 2025 first-round pick, previously traded to the Spurs, in addition to acquiring Zach Collins, Tre Jones, and Kevin Huerter.
Full trade:
Spurs: De’Aaron Fox, Jordan McLaughlin
Kings: Zach LaVine, Sidy Cissoko, three first round picks (2025 CHA, 2027 SAS, 2031 MIN), three second round picks (2025 CHI, 2028 DEN, 2028 own back)
Bulls: Zach Collins, Tre Jones, Kevin Huerter, their own 2025 pick via SAS https://t.co/UgwylCUYAO

As the trade deadline approaches on Thursday, the future of Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler remains uncertain, suggesting that more blockbuster deals could still be in the works. Regardless, if this is the last high-profile trade before the deadline, it will mark one of the most notable in recent NBA history due to the chaotic events of Sunday.
