The New Orleans Saints remain the only NFL team yet to fill their head coaching vacancy, but that may change soon as they seem to have their sights set on a frontrunner. Throughout their hiring process, the Saints have been linked to various coaching candidates, with Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore emerging as the leading choice.
As the Eagles gear up for their Super Bowl LIX clash against the Kansas City Chiefs, Moore is understandably focused on other priorities. The Saints will have to wait until after the Super Bowl to make an official hiring decision, but according to Ian Rapoport, Moore appears to be at the top of their list.
Rapoport stated, “The Saints plan to meet again with Eagles OC Kellen Moore after Super Bowl LIX, an indication he’s the top choice for new head coach,” in a post on X.

Given that Super Bowl LIX is taking place in New Orleans, there’s a strong possibility that Moore will attend the game and could leave with a new head coaching role. His success as an assistant has positioned the Eagles for a potential Super Bowl win—their first since 2016.
While winning the Super Bowl might influence Moore’s decision about leaving Philadelphia, his previous discussions with the Saints during their coaching search suggest that he has interest in the position.
