Could WWE’s Seth Rollins have a future in football commentary after his wrestling career? If Rollins has his way, the answer is yes. During his appearance on the SI Media With Jimmy Traina podcast, he shared his love for spending time with his wife, fellow WWE wrestler Becky Lynch, and their daughter, but also revealed other career aspirations.
“But I also would love to kick Tom Brady out of the booth and take his spot, you know? He’s busy owning the [Las Vegas] Raiders and stuff,” Rollins mentioned, as noted by H/T Joseph Currier of F4WOnline. He expressed a desire to be an analyst, specifically calling games for his beloved Chicago Bears, stating, “My dream is to sit in the booth and call Bears games.” He added, “I would love to be on color for one of those things. Play-by-play? I don’t know, that might be over my pay grade. But I can do some color commentary, man. You put a microphone in front of me, I know what I’m talking about. I can get some stuff done. I think I might add a little flavor to it too, you know? Something a little bit different. So if anybody’s out there listening and you’re looking for a new color guy in your booth, I’m ready.”
Currently, Rollins ranks among the top performers in professional wrestling, making it unlikely that he’ll be calling games for the Bears or any NFL team anytime soon. However, he does have more immediate plans, including a podcast focused on the Bears. “We’re looking at something, so keep your eyes peeled in 2025,” Rollins said. “We’re trying to get something together. It should be a lot of fun, I hope. If we can get it off the ground.”
