Gear heads, prepare to watch NASCAR like never before. TNT Sports announced Thursday the launch of the Max streaming service’s brand-new “NASCAR Driver Cam” experience. This feature will grant fans access to in-car camera views for every driver during each Cup Series race this season, complete with synced audio from the scanner team radios and ambient car noise. The feature kicks off this Sunday at the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray.

In addition to all drivers’ feeds, fans can enjoy several multiview options on Max. As stated in the announcement, “Fans will be able to choose between individual Driver Cams or two pre-set multiview stream options featuring four drivers each, based on the most compelling matchups and storylines each week.” There will also be a “Fan Selected” multiview, showcasing drivers voted on by fans weekly. Each feed comes equipped with integrated telemetry data such as speed and RPM, along with standard graphics like stage, lap number, and position that viewers expect during any NASCAR telecast. Furthermore, viewers can pause or rewind the individual feeds to catch team audio from significant moments, such as crashes or strategic moves during the race. Replays of each individual driver stream will also be available after each event.
No doubt, this approach helps NASCAR better engage its core fanbase. As TNT Sports kicks off its first year of a seven-year media rights deal with the racing circuit this summer, the network is set to air the inaugural NASCAR In-Season Tournament, featuring five races that commence in Atlanta and conclude in Indianapolis.
