Browns Set to Move Ahead with Shedeur Sanders

The Cleveland Browns hold the second pick in the upcoming NFL Draft and urgently need to make the right choice. After finishing the season 3-15, expectations were high for the Browns to contend with the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens for supremacy in the AFC North. A significant area of concern is the quarterback position, as Cleveland cycled through four different starters last season, all of whom faced considerable struggles.

A potential solution for the Browns could be former Colorado Buffaloes star Shedeur Sanders. However, concerns linger regarding whether his influential father, Deion Sanders, would permit his son to join a franchise historically plagued by ineptitude. Regardless, according to Cleveland.com, the Browns are proceeding with their draft evaluation of Shedeur despite any preferences Deion might have. “I don’t anticipate that being a problem,” General Manager Andrew Berry stated at the Senior Bowl. He praised Shedeur, emphasizing, “He’s a really impressive young man. He’s poised, he’s calm, he’s smart, and you can tell he’s been raised by – quite honestly – a Hall of Fame dad. We’re going to get to know him even more over the spring, but he’s really impressive.”

Fans took to social media to share their reactions to Berry’s comments. One user on Twitter expressed skepticism, stating, “Zero chance he plays for the Browns. He will hold out for a trade.” Another fan remarked, “Couldn’t think of a better place for him to go,” while yet another commented, “Deion best be happy ANYONE drafts that kid of his. He’s not a franchise quarterback. Maybe a backup at best.” It’ll be intriguing to see where Shedeur ultimately lands.
