Not everyone is weary of the Kansas City Chiefs. If you’re feeling ‘Chief’d out,’ Tracy Wolfson isn’t the person to complain to. The NFL on CBS sideline reporter empathizes with Josh Allen, not only due to their professional rapport—having even shared a hug after the AFC Divisional Round—but also because she understands his struggles against Patrick Mahomes.
Wolfson also shares a strong connection with the Chiefs and Mahomes, as part of the network’s A-team that has elevated a franchise on the brink of a three-peat. Having previously experienced the NFL’s dominance firsthand alongside Jim Nantz and Phil Simms during the reign of Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and the New England Patriots, she appreciates the competitive landscape.

However, the current focus is on the Chiefs, who face their share of criticism that comes with being a modern-day dynasty. Wolfson isn’t letting the negativity go unchallenged. “I feel for Josh Allen and the Bills but also don’t enjoy hearing all the hate on the Chiefs,” she expressed on X (formerly Twitter) after the AFC Championship. “I witnessed Brady and the Pats dominance firsthand, and what KC is doing feels just like that. Let’s take a moment and appreciate what Mahomes and the Chiefs have accomplished.”
Another classic last night. I feel for Josh Allen and the Bills but also don’t enjoy hearing all the hate on the Chiefs. I witnessed Brady and the Pats dominance firsthand, and what KC is doing feels just like that. Let’s take a moment and appreciate what Mahomes and the Chiefs…

It’s understandable if you can’t fully appreciate what the Chiefs are achieving—trust me, as a New York Jets fan, I felt the same way about the Patriots. All Tracy Wolfson is seeking is a bit of perspective—not holding hands and singing ‘Kumbaya,’ but a genuine recognition of what Mahomes and the Chiefs are accomplishing, reminiscent of the dominance exhibited by Brady and the Patriots just a few years ago.
