The New Orleans Saints are on the lookout for a new head coach, with Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady identified as a top target. However, it appears that Brady is not interested in the position as he has declined a second interview after showing initial interest.
Brady was interviewed earlier this month for the vacant head coaching position, and the team expressed interest in a follow-up meeting. Unfortunately, a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reveals that Brady has opted to remain with the Bills instead of pursuing the Saints opportunity. “Staying home: Bills OC Joe Brady, the architect of the Buffalo offense, has elected to remain with the Bills and pull out of the Saints HC search, per me and [Tom Pelissero],” Rapoport said in a post on X, the site formerly known as Twitter.
Rapoport further noted, “New Orleans had wanted to interview Brady a second time, along with Kellen Moore. Brady sticks in BUF.” Brady made his NFL debut in 2020 after leading Joe Burrow and the LSU Tigers to a national championship in the College Football Playoff following the 2019 season. Despite a challenging first stint with the Carolina Panthers, he has excelled with the Bills, positioning himself as a strong candidate for a head coaching role. With that said, he seems inclined to continue with the Bills for another season.
