Here’s a look at the announcing assignments for the NFL’s 2025 Championship Sunday, including discussions of each game based on broadcasters and matchups. All times are Eastern.

Fox, Fox Deportes 3 p.m.

The Commanders are on an impressive postseason run, having beaten the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-20 in the Wild Card round and then taking down the top-seeded Detroit Lions 45-31 in the Divisional Round. This remarkable feat comes in their first season under the ownership of Josh Harris, along with the general manager and coach pairing of Adam Peters and Dan Quinn, and Jayden Daniels’ first year in the NFL. Reporting from ESPN indicates that this success is infuriating for former Washington owner Dan Snyder. The question is, can the Commanders sustain this momentum against the six-point favorite Eagles? Notably, Washington defeated Philadelphia twice during the regular season, albeit under certain conditions.
For Philadelphia, the season has been dramatically tumultuous despite a 14-3 finish and a straightforward division win. Much of the focus has been on the performance of quarterback Jalen Hurts, who threw for 2,903 yards, 18 touchdowns, and five interceptions, alongside rushing for 630 yards and 14 touchdowns this season. However, he struggled during the latest win against the Los Angeles Rams, posting only 128 passing yards. While Hurts garnered praise throughout the year, he faced criticism, including from teammate A.J. Brown. Playing through a concussion and knee injury, he is expected to wear a knee brace during the game. Moreover, he missed significant time in the last meeting against Washington, which raises concerns about his effectiveness if he plays this time.
Daniels remains crucial for Washington, having thrown for 299 yards and two touchdowns against the Lions last week, with impressive regular season stats of 3,568 yards and 25 touchdowns against nine interceptions. As the Commanders aim for a third victory against the Eagles this season, all eyes will be on both quarterbacks.
While this Fox broadcast means there will be no chance for Hurts to troll Scott Van Pelt if the Eagles win, we could see a fun “LFG” moment between Hurts, Barkley, or Daniels and Brady post-game, given Daniels’ question from last week. Additionally, this game is vital for the Burkhardt-Brady booth before heading to the Super Bowl, and it features an interesting commentary team on the English radio side.
AFC Championship Game
Buffalo (AFC No. 2 seed, 13-4, 2-0 postseason) at Kansas City Chiefs (AFC No. 1 seed, 15-2, 1-0 postseason)
CBS, Paramount+ 6:30 p.m.
Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, Evan Washburn, Tracy Wolfson, Jay Feely
Westwood One Radio: Kevin Harlan, Devin McCourty, Derek Rackley
Entravision Spanish Radio: Ricardo Celis, Tony Nuñez

Once again, it’s a showdown between the Bills and the Chiefs, teams that have faced each other eight times in the 2020s, resulting in a 4-4 split. However, Kansas City holds the edge in their three playoff matchups. Buffalo did manage to win their only meeting this year, 30-21 at home in November, which attracted an impressive average audience of 31.2 million viewers—setting the stage for a significant CBS audience this time around. On the Bills’ side, Josh Allen is currently the favorite for the AP NFL MVP, coming off a season where he threw for 3,731 yards and 28 touchdowns against six interceptions, while rushing for 531 yards and 12 touchdowns. Though his playoff performance has been mixed, he achieved strong numbers during the Wild Card but faced challenges in the Divisional Round win.
For the Chiefs, all eyes will be on Patrick Mahomes, as he aims to build on his lower-than-usual passing yardage this season. While he had some impressive performances, overall consistency has defined his regular season. The stakes are high in this rematch of two competitive teams.
