Things Took an Odd Turn Between Dan Orlovsky and Adam Schefter

It seems some of Dan Orlovsky’s quirks are starting to influence his co-workers, such as Adam Schefter. During Thursday’s episode of Get Up, when the cast made their picks for the AFC and NFC Championship Games, Orlovsky found himself hesitant to commit to a pick for the high-stakes Kansas City Chiefs-Buffalo Bills matchup. Unlike his colleagues Harry Douglas, Jason McCourty, and even Mike Greenberg, a curious question mark appeared under Orlovsky’s name.

As Orlovsky remained indecisive, Adam Schefter, seated next to him, began unbuttoning his dress shirt on national television, humorously checking if the former Detroit Lions quarterback had any hair on his chest. While this might elicit a laugh on-screen, I would advise against similar antics in your own workplace.

Ultimately, America learned that Dan Orlovsky does have hair on his chest, but it is neatly trimmed and shaved. Perhaps Schefter was genuinely curious, especially since we’ve already witnessed his bare chest on national television. Interestingly, Schefter himself refrained from making a pick for the game! It’s ironic that he would want to scrutinize Orlovsky when he hasn’t even taken a stand himself. At least Schefter avoided the oddity of taking off one of Orlovsky’s shoes to smell it—something we’ve seen happen on ESPN morning television.

The highlight of the segment was Jason McCourty’s joking remark about HR potentially getting involved. You can bet he didn’t face anything this bizarre while working in the NFL on CBS booth with Matt Ryan and Andrew Catalon this season. In the end, Dan Orlovsky finally decided on Josh Allen and the Bills to defeat Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, though it was a strange path to that conclusion.
