You never know what to expect from Paul Bissonnette when he’s on television, and that could also mean potential repair bills. As an NHL on TNT analyst, he has quickly become one of the most vibrant personalities in sports television, likened to his TNT counterpart Charles Barkley from Inside the NBA. Much like their basketball colleagues, the TNT hockey crew embraces humor and engages in physical comedy.
On a recent show, Bissonnette attempted to demonstrate his skills by trying to score on an empty net using a goalie’s stick. Although one might assume that a former NHL player could nail such a shot, it proved to be quite the challenge. Unfortunately for him—and the Warner Bros. Discovery maintenance team—he overshot his mark, breaking a part of the set as his co-hosts erupted in laughter.

While he may not have been using a traditional hockey stick, Biz’s performance was a reminder of why he was not particularly known for his shooting ability during his career, where he managed to score just seven goals over six NHL seasons, though he accumulated an impressive 340 penalty minutes. Let’s hope that broken panel doesn’t take too much of a toll on his TNT earnings. Nevertheless, when considering the assortment of mishaps that Inside the NBA has encountered, including broken video boards, Biz has a long way to go to catch up with their repair bills.
