Miami Dolphins star Tua Tagovailoa has no plans to retire from football anytime soon. In fact, it’s probably closer to the opposite. Tagovailoa is willing to risk it all for the game; in a special ESPN interview, he confessed to his father that he’s ready to die for it.
“Dad, I love this game and I’ll die on the field for this game,” – Tua Tagovailoa to his Dad, as told by Galu Tagovailoa to ESPN Honolulu https://t.co/h5g4aeU4PL

Citing ESPN Honolulu’s interview at the Polynesian Bowl, Joe Schad quoted Tagovailoa, saying he loves the game so much that he would die on the field for it. However, he has a disheartening history of concussions, having suffered multiple instances of head trauma, requiring him to be taken out of games and undergo thorough medical evaluations.
Despite these challenges, Tagovailoa remains steadfast. Ill-advised as it might seem, it appears that only significant intervention would hinder him from playing professional football. Certainly, nobody wants to see anyone suffer or even perish on the football field, yet Tagovailoa remains committed. Retirement is clearly not on his mind right now; despite his head injuries and their toll, the Dolphins quarterback is gearing up for yet another season as the starter in Miami.
